Different Option Levels for Different Demands

In addition to the Basic version of DpuScan upgrades are available to DpuScan Standard and DpuScan Professional, each with expanded functional scope. These two versions, however, always require a prior already completed installation of the Basic version together with a DPU engine from the DpuX Scanner Value Pack. For processing color images, a DPU-S Color engine is required. With DpuScan Gold , it is already part of the delivery scope.

There is no scan quantity restriction to any certain number of documents to be scanned, neither absolute nor per time unit. DpuScan is free from any stress hormones. Also, there are no speed limits for the Unlimited Edition of DpuScan. The Limited Edition is adapted to the scan speed of the relative scanner.

DpuScan QSI is specially foreseen for quality assurance and indexing, with or without connection to a database. Therefore, with this variant, the scan speed is restricted to 32 images per minute. All other functions, however, are executed in maximum speed.

The following description gives an overview of the available scope of the six DpuScan variants. All versions of the Unlimited Version drive the supported production scanners at full speed, only their functionality is different.

The below table shows, by function, Some functions can be defined only with at least a Professional version or with DpuScan Gold unlimited, but they can be used in the Standard version or with DpuScan Gold Limited Edition, if they were previously defined under the higher version.

This will often make it possible to work with DpuScan Standard oder DpuScan Gold Limited Edition at the individual scan stations, if the required higher version is available to the administrator.
